The San Diego Pride Festival is host to a variety of local and national organizations. businesses, and entertainers eager to show their support for our community. If you’d like to be part of the action learn more below!
Once public health and safety guidance becomes clear, we will update this event page on how we’re moving forward with planning this year’s Pride celebrations.
She Fest:
Saturday, July 9, 2022, Noon - 6pm
She Fest delivers empowering and accessible programming and content that centers LGBTQ+ women and non-binary people; creates opportunities to connect LGBTQ+ small businesses to new audiences; facilitates social events that bring people together; and invests in and celebrate the volunteer leadership of She Fest committee members. Our year-round efforts culminate in an annual flagship event that brings over 4,000 of our community members together to kick off San Diego’s Pride week in July.
Light Up the Cathedral
Wednesday, July 13, 2022 @ 7pm at St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral
You are invited to join LGBTQ Faith Leaders and Faithful. Join Dean Penny Bridges and other Faith Leaders as we gather together, in-person, to celebrate our faith and resilience. After the service, the Cathedral will be lit in rainbow colours.
San Diego’s rally
Friday, July 15, 2022, 6 PM – 7 PM at Hillcrest Pride Flag, 1500 University Ave, San Diego, CA 92103
San Diego’s first rally was held in 1975. The Spirit of Stonewall Rally is a time to recognize and honour leaders who are working hard to preserve our gains and meet the many challenges still facing our community. It is a time for us to honour our origins, celebrate those who are leading the way, and call our community to action around some of our movement’s most pressing issues.
Pride 5K Run + Walk
Saturday, July 16, 2022 @ 8am. The 5k begins in Hillcrest
Time to mark your calendars for the 2022 San Diego Front Runners Pride 5K Run & Walk!
The Pride 5K Run & Walk is always a highlight of Pride Week festivities. Last year, despite the pandemic, more than 1,300 runners and walkers, from around the world, participated and raised $24,000 for our charity partners. Join us in 2022, as we return live and in person. Registration will open in the Spring of 2022! We invite all runner and walkers to dress in your best rainbow gear. Every year, funds raised at the San Diego Pride 5K generate significant donations for our charity partners – The LGBT Center’s Youth Housing Project and San Diego Pride.
The Parade
July 16, 2022 @ 10am.
The parade begins at the Hillcrest Pride Flag at University Ave. and Normal St., proceeds west on University Ave., turns south on 6th Ave., turns left onto Balboa Dr. and ends at Quince Dr.
The annual San Diego Pride Parade is the largest single-day civic event in the region and is among the largest Prides in the United States, attracting over 300,000 people.
Cheer on colourful floats & parade participants as we celebrate and honour the LGBTQ community at the San Diego Pride Parade in Hillcrest.
Festival
Saturday, July 16, 2022, 11am–10pm and Sunday, July 17, 2022, 11am– 9pm.
Takes place @ Marston Point., Balboa Park (6th Ave. & Laurel Street).
It’s your time to be OUT and PROUD! The Pride Festival is San Diego’s largest 2-day event highlighting the best in LGBTQ entertainment, interactive exhibits, cultural presentations, and community resources.
