So this was the first country in the world to offer a really hard law to protect gay men and the wider LGBT+ community and a country known for being the most liberal in in Europe in wider life style issues. So you name it, from sex to personal choice on taking drugs, the Netherlands and Amsterdam, especially, has been Europe’s trailblazer for decades. The gay scene being founded so early on and so liberal is simply a must-visit destination for the international gay traveller. The city even has a Sex Museum Foreign tourists who visit will not be disappointed…go in with barges and long poles as Amsterdam hosts one of the most spectacular LGBT+ celebrations in Europe – Amsterdam pride 2019 all on the canal with barge floats with Sat 3 Aug the high point of the event.
