Pink Wednesday takes place on Wednesday the 16th July 2025.

Pink Wednesday is one of the largest LGBTIQ+ events in the Netherlands! Nijmegen is the rainbow capital of our country every third Wednesday of July, on the second day of the Four Day Marches and the fifth day of the Four Days Marches. We flood Nijmegen with pink and rainbow on Pink Wednesday. Would you like to help create visibility for the LGBTIQ + community on Pink Wednesday? That would be great!

Pride walk
The Pride Walk starts at the Lage Markt in the lower city and this year runs along the route of the 4 Days. We join after the last walker – around 16:00 – and walk past a number of stages that celebrate Pink Wednesday. The procession, armed with rainbow flags, protest signs and pink streamers, walks a short route of approximately 30 minutes. The walk will end at the end of the Van Broeckhuysenstraat near the Albert Heijn. From there you have the option to walk independently to Kelfkensbos.
