Wigan Pride
This year marks 50 years since the Stonewall Riots and this year’s theme reflects this, celebrating important milestones that the LGBTQ+ community has made since 1969. So Wigan Pride theme this year is 'Journey from Stonewall'.
Wigan Pride promotes and celebrates equality and diversity by bringing together arts, music, a street parade and positive messages at a big annual event in Wigan town centre.

Parade
The parade starts at 11:00pm from Mesnes Park and proceeds down Bridgeman Terrace onto Mesnes Street.
The parade turns right onto Standishgate through Wigan town centre before turning onto Millgate, finally ending on Believe Square.

Festival
As well as entertainment on the main stage, 2019’s event will welcome back the popular Believe Stage, which celebrates local musical talent, and the Autism Friendly Zone, offering a quieter space for those who prefer it.
Wigan Pride is offering a fantastic day of entertainment for the whole family, Wigan Pride also helps remind our local community that equal rights are often hard won and should not be taken for granted. Celebrating equality helps us to value the importance of it and make sure that it continues.
