This is the first Wigan Pride. It is being held in the Market Place in the town centre of Wigan. There will be various stalls and entertainment.

Wigan welcomes its first ever LGBTQ+ Pride event on August 13th 2016, recognising and celebrating the local LGBTQ+ community. Wigan Pride is about bringing communities together, promoting equality and acceptance throughout the borough. Wigan Pride will provide the town of Wigan with information about LGBTQ and services that support the LGBTQ community locally. But we don't do things small, Wigan Pride presents a full day of live music, comedy and entertainment for the whole family.
The event aims to fundraise for future Wigan Pride events and spread across the whole borough. Additionally we aim to fundraise for local LGBTQ+ services. If you'd like to donate please click here.

Wigan Pride 2016 is a free family friendly event held in Wigan Town Centre on 13th August 2016 and there will be Shops and bars and toilets in the area.

Pride is celebrating our community, showing visibility and strength and to recognise the amazing progress the LGBTQ+ community has made in fighting for equality and also recognising the steps we need to take for full equality. Its celebrating love and freedom. Pride is what each individual interprets it to be, be that, whatever that may be. It is important we can be proud to be different. Pride is fundamentally being proud of who you are. Celebrate our diversity.
