Wigan Pride takes place on Saturday the 16th August 2025.

Wigan Pride promotes and celebrates equality and diversity by bringing together arts, music, street parade and positive messages at a big annual event in Wigan. We also support smaller activities that encourage equality across the borough throughout the year. Led by the LGBTQ+ community of Wigan Borough and supported by Wigan Council and local NHS organisations. We also rely on the support of local businesses and local people to help us make each Wigan Pride event bigger and better. As we celebrate and look forward to our 9th consecutive year, we'll recognise the challenges still faced by our community nationally and globally.

Parade
Saturday in Wigan town centre, with the parade starting at 11:00. The pride march is an opportunity for you to get involved with Wigan’s most successful LGBTQ+ event. It’s your chance to show Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning people from all over Wigan, Manchester and further afield the very best that Wigan has to offer. Participation in the parade gives the opportunity for expression of celebration, joy and triumph, but also the voice to rightly express the continued fight for those injustices and inequalities that exist amongst us. This year, we'd like you to join us as we turn the town into one of the largest parades Wigan has ever seen. So whether you're a community group or workplace gleaming with pride, standing shoulder to shoulder with an important message of support, the parade places you at the centre of the celebrations.
