MS Capital City Pride takes place over the weekend 6/8th October 2023.

Capital City Pride started as a discussion between two best friends, Lucas Posey and Tyler Griffing (Co-Founders). They were attending a game night at Lucas's house in 2018. At the time, places like Starkville, Oxford, Hattiesburg, Natchez, and the MS Gulf Coast were launching successful Pride events, so they knew there was a demand in the state to support what would soon become Capital City Pride.

Ra'Jah O'Hara,"Queen of the Mother Pucking World" is an American drag queen/ fashion designer/ actor/ activist best known for competing on the eleventh season of RuPaul's Drag Race in 2019 and the sixth season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars in 2021 finishing as a runner-up. In 2022, she was crowned the winner of the international All Stars spin-off series, Canada's Drag Race: Canada Vs. The World. Ohara is a native of Dallas Texas, graduate of Booker T Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, and studied Dance at SUNY Purchase College and Business at the University of Phoenix.
