Ljubljana Pride Festival (Slovenia) takes place from the 3rd to the 11th June 2022.

The first Pride Parade that was organized by the Ljubljana Pride Parade Association was in 2009. Since then, it matured into an international cultural and political festival of LGBTIQ+ culture with a distinctly political note. It peaks with the annual Pride Parade, which concludes with the public presentation of the LGBTIQ+ community's political demands to people in positions of power, institutions and the wider society. Its aim is to break the silence and the suppression of homosexuality, to occupy public space, to present the life and work of the LGBTIQ+ community, and to promote human rights, equal opportunities and freedom of choice.

The festival will take place in the first week of June and will end with the Pride Parade. It takes place in Ljubljana, bringing together and representing the cultural production of the LGBTIQ+ community nationally. The festival seeks to open up silent and invisible topics within the LGBTIQ+ community and reflect them on social structures that criticize their inaction and ignore existing discrimination. Every year we strive for the festival to have a rich international program, host important global LGBTIQ+ activists and place them in the Slovenian space.
