Info
Ljubljana Pride Festival (Slovenia) takes place from the 12th to the 19th June 2021.
The Pride Parade Festival has been organized around our experience with the Slovene LGBTIQ+ community and the need to represent them. It is designed as a cultural and political festival, expressing social criticism through art, culture, musical production and public discussions with the aim to mainstream LGBTIQ+ concerns in Slovenia.
The festival will take place in the first week of June and will end with the Pride Parade. It takes place in Ljubljana, bringing together and representing the cultural production of the LGBTIQ+ community nationally. The festival seeks to open up silent and invisible topics within the LGBTIQ+ community and reflect them on social structures that criticize their inaction and ignore existing discrimination. Every year we strive for the festival to have a rich international program, host important global LGBTIQ+ activists and place them in the Slovenian space.
