Vienna Pride takes place from 1st to the 18th of June 2023.

Vienna Pride 2023 will take place from June 1st to 18th. The highlight is the rainbow parade on June 17, where more than 250,000 people are expected to celebrate and demonstrate together. Another highlight is the Pride Run Vienna, where on June 16, hundreds of participants will set an example for acceptance, both running and in wheelchairs. These events are again accompanied by numerous other events that take place both virtually and on site.

The run takes place as a sign of acceptance for and visibility for LGBTIQ* people! Whether you run for yourself or for someone you want to support, whether you see it as an athletic challenge or are motivated by an emotional background: Run for acceptance! Let's run together and set an example!

Parade
On June 17, 2023, the rainbow parade will take place on the Vienna Ringstrasse for the 27th time. Lesbian, gay, bisexual, straight, trans, cis, inter and queer people will demonstrate together for acceptance, respect and equal rights in Austria, Europe and around the world.
As the largest annual demonstration in Austria, the rainbow parade is an unmistakable sign of a society based on appreciation, recognition and equal rights - regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or gender characteristics. The Rainbow Parade is an important political demonstration for the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer people. HOSI Vienna calls on all marchers and spectators to express their concerns with banners, signs, T-shirts, etc.!

Festival
On the day of the Rainbow Parade, where we demonstrate for acceptance, respect and equal rights in Austria, Europe and around the world, the Rathausplatz also shines in all the colours of the rainbow. Restaurateurs from the community offer food and drinks and DJs, bands and other artists from the community perform on the stage in front of the town hall, and we celebrate together after the parade at the After Pride Celebration. The Community Village will open at 11 a.m. on June 17, 2023. We get in the mood for the rainbow parade, which starts at 1:00 p.m. right in front of the town hall square. Together we will go around the ring against the direction of travel. Back at Rathausplatz, the After Pride Celebration starts at 6:00 p.m., starting with the moment of remembrance, followed by speeches by community representatives and a celebratory and proud conclusion with LGBTIQ artists. The gastro and exhibition stands are open until 10 p.m.
