Gay and Sober Pride takes place on Sunday the 30th June 2024.
Gay & Sober is a 501c3 nonprofit organisation that serves LGBTQ people in recovery from alcoholism and drug addiction. We offer sobriety resources 365 days a year and sponsor fun, health and wellness events. There is a meeting directory with gay, lesbian and queer, LGBT affirming Gay AA, CMA, NA, AND AL-ANON. Our most popular event is the conference for Gay & Sober Men and Pride Celebration. The Pride Celebration is a day on Pride Sunday in NYC where all LGBTQ people in recovery and their allies unite for fun and fellowship! There are two sober events that Gay & Sober organises on Pride Celebration Day. During the day is the Pride Parade and at night is The Dance on the River cruise.
Parade
Meet Up Time: 12pm and join thousands of sober marchers and millions of spectators cheering you every step of the way! There will be a banner and a DJ double decker bus. Special DJ for the afternoon will be announced soon. Meet Up Location: 30th Street Between 6th Ave and 5th Ave (Approach from 6th Avenue). The DJ'd double decker bus that will be following us in the parade is reserved for donors, sponsors and committee members. If you want to access the double decker bus, you must make an additional tax-deductible donation of at least $100. This extra donation will also grant you access to the top deck of the Dance on the River cruise ship, where the DJ booth and private cocktail bar will be. You must have a Special Access Wristband to get on the bus or the private top deck of the ship.
River cruise
The Dance on the River. June 30th, 2024. $75. At circle line cruises, w. 42nd and the Hudson River, birth 1 south. The best way to top off your Pride Sunday is our dance party on the Hudson River! The cruise sets sail at sunset and takes you to the Statue of Liberty, and around most of Manhattan. Enjoy the fireworks spectacular and dance the night away with all of your new friends! Our cruise is a high-energy, dance your ass off, celebration of sobriety! The ship capacity is 600. The top deck of the ship where the DJ booth and private cocktail bar is will be reserved for donors, sponsors and committee members. If you want to access the private deck, you must make an additional tax-deductible donation of at least $100. This extra donation will also grant you bus access to our float in the parade earlier that day. You must have a Special Access Wristband to get on the bus or the private top deck of the ship.
