Brooklyn Pride takes place on Saturday the 8th June 2024.

LGBTQIA+ Brooklynites had traditionally crossed over the bridge to Manhattan seeking the gay community. In 1996 several Brooklynites looked to create a new opportunity, whereby local organisations, businesses, friends and supporters of equal rights for all could come together in solidarity and celebration and bring visibility to the multicultural gay community in the borough. A new organisation was founded – Brooklyn Pride, Inc. Over the years, Brooklyn Pride has grown to become the largest and most prominent organisation serving Brooklyn’s LGBTQIA+ community. Although Brooklyn Pride’s primary mission is to produce the borough’s annual pride events, the organisation actively works to bring pride year round to every Brooklyn neighbourhood.

Brooklyn Pride LGBTQIA+ 5K Run/Walk
What better way to start off your Brooklyn Pride Saturday than with a morning 5K (3.1 mile) LGBTQIA+ fun run? You'll be joined by hundreds of runners from across NYC and beyond as you race through scenic and historic Prospect Park.

Festival
11:00 to 17:00. We are excited to have our 28th Annual Brooklyn Pride Multicultural Festival, spanning from Union Street to 9th Street on 5th Avenue, with a delightful array of entertainment about halfway through at 4th Street! Enjoy a cross-section of community businesses and city-wide organisations, among other creatives tabling!

Main Stage
Noon to 18:00. Next to the Old Stone House (JJ Byrne Playground). Welcome to the vibrant heart of Brooklyn Pride’s festival — where talent takes centre stage and resonates in every note and performance. All afternoon, the Main Stage showcases our community’s beautiful talents and voices.
