Montreal Pride takes place from 3rd to 13th August 2023.
Montréal Pride festival offers an exciting, fun-filled 11-day program: Community Days, free shows including a Mega T-Dance, festivities in many of the Village's establishments and the famous Pride Parade.
Since 2007, at the initiative of Montréal’s LGBTQ+ communities, the Montréal Pride Festival has promoted their rights and celebrated their cultural wealth and social advances. The largest gathering of the communities of sexual and gender diversity (SGD) in the Francophone world works locally on a daily basis while serving as a beacon of hope for people living in LGBTQ+ hostile regions of the globe. In 2019, the festival generated a total of 3 million entries for all their events from tourists all around the world.
Parade
Montréal Pride Parade will be held on Sunday, the 13, August @ 1pm.
It is the flagship event of the festival, with the highest visibility and attracting the largest number of festival goers. The 2.9 km long route will symbolically start from the former 2SLGBTQIA+ sector in the West and end in the heart of the current Village in the East. After the Pride Parade, join the party at the Olympic Park's Esplanade for the Mega T-Dance and the Festival's Closing Show.
Afro Pride 2023
13 August @ 3pm.
This is a community group of individuals and organizations representing the Afro/QPANDC community of Montreal. For people who want to participate in the Montreal Pride parade and who are Allies to the communities! This group will be open to anyone who wishes to participate in the diversity of the Montreal Pride Parade. Important to note that this is a safe space for the LGBTQ+ and QPANDC community. A contingent, artist, DJ and others will be there for your entertainment! We ask people to dress in traditional clothing, your carnival costumes and bring your flags and represent where you are from! We thank you for your support of Afro-LGBTQ+ communities.
