Titanic first opened in 1989 by Rob and Patrick in an abandoned 12 seat diner in the bowels of a 19th century Hudson's Bay warehouse in Old Montreal. Over 35 years later with a new partner, Fabian, the original humble space has grown to a full 76 seat restaurant; what started as a quirky hole-in-the-wall snack shop is now a food institution in one of the most bustling and creative centres of the city.

The neighbourhood and the kitchen have both grown exponentially, but the food has remained true to the original concept of mom-inspired home-style classics, big sandwiches and vegetarian antipasto and a blackboard menu of soups, tacos and meal-sized salads.

Besides the varied food, the kaleidoscope of characters who work there have always been an integral part of the Titanic experience. Like culturally diverse Montréal, the staff all have creative backgrounds and have come from all corners of the world; many of them are pictured in photo-portraits along the walls of the dining area.

Facilities

Dogs are not officially allowed in the dining room, but they are welcome in the lobby, entry area and take-out section
there are also banquettes for everyone, outside attached to the window grills.
