Pride 2019

Info

Montréal Pride festival offers an exciting, fun-filled 11-day program: Community Day, free shows including a Mega T-Dance at Parc des Faubourgs, festivities in many of the Village's establishments and the famous Pride Parade!

Since 2007, at the initiative of Montréal’s LGBTQ+ communities, the Montréal Pride Festival has promoted their rights and celebrated their cultural wealth and social advances. The largest gathering of the communities of sexual and gender diversity (SGD) in the Francophone world works locally on a daily basis while serving as a beacon of hope for people living in LGBTQ+ hostile regions of the globe. In 2019, the festival generated a total 3 million entries for all their events from tourists all around the world. In 2020, the festivities will be held from August 6th to 16th.

Parade
Montréal Pride parade will be held on Sunday August 16th. It is the flagship event of the festival with the highest visibility and attracting the largest number of festival goers. Last year, over 200 contingents took part in the parade for a total of 12,000 participants with over 300,000 spectators in attendance.

Community Day
The Montréal Pride Community Day, will be held between 11am and 5pm on Saturday, August 15th on Sainte-Catherine Street, in the heart of the Village. In 2018, over 149 community groups and associations as well as commercial partners manned kiosks on the streets, drawing over 90,000 visitors. It is the perfect opportunity to meet and greet the various communities, to promote services and to recruit new members.
