Southend Pride is nearly here and will be hitting Southend from 13th - 20th July 2019.
For too long, Southend-on-Sea has gone without recognition of its LGBTIQA+ History, and in this, the first celebration of Pride in the town in over fifteen years, Southend will be firmly placed back on the map of Queer culture.
Join Southend Pride for what proves to be an amazing week of Arts, Culture, Literature, Entertainment, and Music, culminating in the biggest Pride March Southend has ever seen.

Opening Tea Dance
Saturday 13 July 6pm-2am @The Railway Hotel
For the second Southend Pride Opening Party we are building on last year's party success in celebrating our rich LGBTIQA+ history and culture by having a Tea Dance.
Serving Low Tea in the bar:
DJ's Rob T and Sean Moriarty (disco set), 6-9 pm.
Band: Marlow, 9-10.
DJ Adrian Pel 10-11.
Band: Subject:2 11-12midnight.
DJ's Rob, Sean and Adrian 12-2am.
Serving High Tea upstairs :
DJ Tony Pontius (Spatial Awareness) and;
DJ Scott Cuba (Coco Cuba) 8pm-2am.

Youth Pride Monday 15 July
6pm-10pm @ St Marks Church Hall
Back for 2019, our Under 18's mixer!
Southend Youth Pride provides a safe-space for LGBTIQA+ Young Adults to socialise, talk about their experiences, and access support in a fun and relaxed environment.

Parade
Saturday 20 July noon - 12:45pm @ Southend High Street
Join Southend Pride and March with Southend Pride at Royal Plaza (The top of Pier Hill, behind the Royals) from 11am.
The Parade will set off at 12pm up the High Street.
Be part of Southend Pride and show our town what equality and acceptance really is, be colourful, bring banners and signs.

Festival
Saturday 20 July
noon-8pm @ Warrior Square Gardens
Join Southend Pride for colour, glitter, community stalls, food, drinks, a cracking merchandise stall and obviously a stage full of camp and cracking local acts!
2019 marks the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots that began the modern LGBTIQA+ rights movement. Join us for a half-century of history and a celebration of just how far we've come.

Afterparty
Saturday 20 July
8pm-3am @ The Cliff Pub
The only full time Southend LBGTIQA+ venue The Cliff Pub is proud to support Southend Pride 2019!
Hosting the Official Southend Pride After Party!
After a jam packed time of celebrating the freedom of equality, and joining the spirit of pride of sharing love and respect for all!
Doors open at 5pm, open till 3am.
Celebrating equality for all! With all the Gay classic hits, up-to date tunes and floor fillers!
