Kendal Pride takes place over the weekend 21st to 23rd July 2023.

Kendal Pride missions is to increase visibility of the LGBTQIA+ community in Kendal and the South Lakes, support people to make meaningful connections and introduce them to the outdoors.

Here's a hint of what you can expect at Kendal's first ever pride.

Friday 21st July
5:30pm - 7:00pm, Film Evening. To celebrate the first ever Kendal Pride, Kendal Mountain Festival is proudly supporting an evening of Queer-led films.
7:15pm - 12:00am, Pride Opening Party. Get Kendal Pride started at About Time Espresso Bar with a couple of cocktails and the chance to make queer connections.

Saturday 22nd July
Parade
10am - 12:30pm. Lakes Queer Adventures invites you to join us for a 10km walk, exploring the River Kent and taking in views of the fells from Kendal Castle. Starting at The Brewery, the pace will be slow and nobody will be left behind! Please wear suitable clothes and shoes for walking across fields and on tracks. Make sure you prepare for the weather; bring sun cream, sun hat, water if needed etc. Please note, this activity is for people aged 18+.

Festival
10am - 4pm. Join us in the garden at The Brewery Arts for our Kendal Pride Village. Visit stalls, meet up with like-minded people, or enjoy a drink or some food from the bar and restaurant. All our outdoor activities will also start from the village, and there’ll be free family activities from Ragtag Arts too.

After party
7:30pm - 00:30am, The Big Pride Party. Join Kendal Pride on Saturday 22 July at The Venue for The Big Pride Party and an evening of high camp, fabulous entertainment from queens and kings from Cumbria and beyond, plus all your favourite queer classics to keep you dancing the night away.
