Love Unites (Reading Pride) takes place on Saturday the 2nd September 2023.

Reading Pride's annual FREE Love Unites Parade & Festival returns on Saturday, 2nd September 2023 at King's Meadow. The Festival kicks off when the Parade arrives at 12pm with a full line-up of entertainment across multiple stages throughout the day along with a funfair, family area, a wide range of food, drink and marketplace stalls.

Bringing the spirit of Pride to the centre of Reading and providing opportunities for groups, organisations and individuals to show their support for both Pride and the ongoing campaign for equality. As like every other year, we are a free event so all we ask is that if you have enjoyed yourself to please make a donation on the way our you can do it online.

Parade
Starting Location: Reading Station Main Entrance, opposite The Oakford Social Club. Assembly: 10am - 10.30am for setting off at 10.45am. Finishing Location: Kings Meadow at approximately 12pm for the opening of the Love Unites Festival. The Love Unites 2023 Parade brings the spirit of Pride to the centre of Reading and provides an opportunity for groups, organisations and individuals to show their support for both Pride and the ongoing campaign for equality.

Sue's Main Stage
Experience an unending array of live entertainment on our Main Stage, featuring a dynamic line up of performers ready to delight audiences all day long. From enchanting choirs to captivating drag performances, and a diverse range spanning pop, reggae, and grime, there's something to suit every palate. All of this excitement is masterfully hosted by some of Reading Pride's cherished queens, ensuring an unforgettable and inclusive experience for all.

Pride aLive Stage
It features fantastic local artists and bands who are either friends, allies and supporters of, or who themselves identify as LGBT+. Throughout the day, they will be performing a mix of their own original songs and popular tunes. We have a strong and vibrant music scene here in Reading, with many bands and acts on the cusp of breaking into the professional industry. This stage showcases that talent and the generous support there is locally for LGBT+ and across all diversity.

PrideXtra Stage
Iota Events proudly presents the PrideXtra Stage, where the spotlight shall illuminate the dazzling queer scene of Reading and its surrounding areas. This year, you will witness a truly captivating platform that celebrates the vibrant diversity and unapologetic creativity of drag. In addition, the PrideXtra stage will feature quintessential elements of Reading's LGBTQIA+ culture that have inspired and furthered the success of Iota Events. You can expect burlesque, photography, DJ sets, artists, and to see individuality and self-expression reign supreme.

Family Area
Here at Reading Pride, we like to involve everyone of all ages. So once again, we have teamed up with NikNak to provide a full day of entertainment in our Family Area, sponsored by Bayer. From Discos, competitions and even drag queen story time, you'll find something fun and exciting.
