Florence Queer Festival takes place from the 18th to 22nd October 2023.

The Florence Queer Festival is the most important Tuscan event dedicated to queer culture, organized by the Ireos association of Florence.
Cinema and video, theatre and photography, literature and customs are at the heart of the path that the FQF proposes to tell the gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans and intersex universe, a queer identity in continuous movement that intends to overcome the stereotypes in which it is being forced for a long time.

Since 2016, the festival has taken place inside the La Compagnia cinema, the focal point of the city's cultural activity. The cinema is home to the most renowned festivals in Florence, and in addition to the FQF it hosts, among others, the Festival dei Popoli and the festivals France Odeon, Lo Screen dell'Arte, Middle East Now, River to River Indian Film Festival and the International Festival of Cinema and Women.

Over the years, the event has welcomed prestigious guests such as Drusilla Foer , Lindsey Kemp, Zanelle Muoli, Ivan Cattaneo, Fabio Canino, Veronica Pivetti, Vladimir Luxuria, Eva Robins, Federico Sacchi and Eytan Fox.
