The Main Club was the first gay bar in the Twin Ports area, opened in 1983.
Owner Bob Jansen founded the club after winning a suit against the College of Saint Scholastica for firing him for being gay. Only once in a Blue Moon would a Catholic institution fund a gay bar!

Now, The Main Club has progressed into a landmark for the region's GLBT community! Come in and view the history of the Duluth/Superior Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, and Intersex community throughout the club.

The Main Club is the longest standing GLBTAQI bar and club located in the heart of Superior, created to give a social atmosphere that holds true to its roots.
