Have fun with the best poppers in 2023

Oliver from our friends at The PopperSuperShop gives the latest on poppers brands, what’s especially loved and what’s coming next.

We are already nearing the end of January; can you believe it! Before the month is over we wanted to get you up to date on some developments on poppers in the UK that we have seen in 2022. We also have some exciting stuff coming in 2023. We want to highlight these this month as the big sale is on and if you like what you read you might want to check out some stuff on the Popper Super Shop.

The most loved brands from 2022.

Let’s start with the slightly more boring bit, for another year Berlin XXX is the best seller. It has been like this for a good few years, I am not saying it is not well deserved, trust me Berlin XXX is awesome, but it would be nice to see a new number one for once. The more exciting news is about the brands that are fighting for the rest of the top 5 best sellers. The new number 2 is called a brand called Original. We have had this on the store for a long time and the sales was fine but never great. Then suddenly word of mouth happens, and it is now flying. At the office we think the bland branding is the reason customers are not drawn to it at first sight, but once tried they keep coming back for more. Another newcomer in the top 5 is Power Rush, a more potent version of the traditional Rush Poppers. The rest of the top 5 is made up by Fist and Jungle Juice, no real surprise there.

New brands that took the UK by storm.

It is always an interesting journey to see if and how people react to new brands and 2022 was no different. With some real winners being introduced we also had a few losers. We introduced Hardware last year, an imported formula from Europe which we thought would do amazing but it is failing to set the world alight. I wonder if it suffers from the same syndrome that Original did, a boring design. The product itself is really rather good. The most popular new brand was Red Bullet, with power pellet. No surprise I guess as it is made by the same manufacturer that created Berlin XXX. Other brands to keep an eye out for are Twisted Beast, Mr S Leather and BARE.

Another smart move was made by the makers of Rush and Liquid Gold. They have gone XXL with their classic brands, basically you get more of the same but at a better value. Even though the XXL 25ml are more expensive than the traditional 10ml, it contains more than twice the formula. Our regulars seem to be very happy with the increase in size. Who said size does not matter!

What is next?

The short answer to that is plenty! We just launched a new range of tall bottles, Fist, BB and BARE. Apart from the strong formula the design of the bottle is also new. It is slimmer and taller than what we are used to. These bottles fit perfectly in your hand and the idea is that this might stop spillage or even dropping the bottle.

Another news flash is that in a month or so we will be introducing Amsterdam Platinum to the UK market. This will be a new import, again from Europe. We are excited by this as our product testers have been raving about these leather cleaners. With Amsterdam already being an established brand we believe this European version will be a big hit.

We are working on bringing more new poppers to the UK but this process takes a while. First, we need to ensure the products are within the UK guidelines and secondly we need our testers to give them a good run out. This is the only way we can try and ensure you will enjoy what we have to offer.
