InfoNorwich Pride 2019 the 11th Norwich Pride in celebration of 50 years since the Stonewall riots
Norwich Pride are proud that the Norwich Pride Parade has always been a People’s Parade that anyone can join in. Over the last couple of years it has got so huge that we’ve become concerned about people’s safety, particularly in the excitement as the parade forms.
The Norwich Pride March leaves from outside City Hall at 1pm. There are two halves to the March. In the first half, there will be registered groups who will be assigned places and given times to assemble.
The second half of the Norwich Pride March is the People’s March – anyone who shares our values can join in. Last year we unveiled our 50 meter flag, sponsored by Norfolk County Council, for the first time. It was spectacular to watch people carry it through the city streets
The Pride March will arrive in Chapelfield Gardens at around 2pm and the park will be filled with stalls and food vendors. In 2019, Norwich Pride will have two stages – the Main Stage is outside and will feature fabulous, feel-good singers and bands with music guaranteed to get your singing and dancing. Norwich Pride are transforming the Red Card Comedy Club into our Acoustic and Cabaret Tent where you’ll be able to sit and enjoy performances from singer-songwriters, comedians, poets and all sorts of eclectic entertainment.
The Pride Show begins at 2pm on the Main Stage in Chapelfield Gardens and will feature a host of talented performers creating a wonderful, feel-good atmosphere.
