Springfield PrideFest (Illinois) takes place on Saturday 20th May 2023.

In the Fall of 2010 staff at the Phoenix Center asked a question. Why don’t we (Springfield) have a Pride Festival? A group of interested people got together and decided to make it happen. In May 2011 Springfield PrideFest became a reality. This street fair is held the 3rd Saturday of May. It is the product of many hours of hard work and meetings, and it is the best festival in Central Illinois! It is a day of embracing diversity and celebrating the Central IL LGBTQ community. It is an event with something for everyone – a kids area, a large stage with live entertainment, lots of great vendors selling goods and giving out information, great food & drinks, tons of fun, and time spent with family & friends.

Parade
Parade starts at 11:30.
The WNNS Pride Parade will begin at 5th & Allen and go North to 5th & American Legion Dr. Let’s fill the streets between!!

Youth & Teen Area
The Youth & Teen area is located on 5th Street between Monroe and Capitol. This area will feature family, teen and youth focused vendors, a petting zoo, Springfield Art Association’s Make and Take truck, a teen lounge and the Youth & Teen Stage.
The Youth & Teen Stage Schedule:
11:00 a.m. – sign up for Grab-N-Go Drag Show. Noon – DJ “J”
1:00 p.m. – Grab-N-Go Drag Show (same day registration)
2:00 p.m. – DJ “J”
3:00 – 5:00 p.m. – Youth & Teen Talent Show (online registration). Talent Show Application Link
