Honolulu Pride takes place on the 15th October 2022.

This year's theme is 'Rooted in Pride'.
Shared with us by community member Mariana Monasi during our 2022 theme contest, it celebrates our cultural and ancestral roots. It also sheds light on how queerness, though often erased, was honoured by indigenous societies, and that our community came from a place of not only acceptance, but reverence. Connecting with our roots gives us the knowledge and strength to continue to grow as a culture that embraces diversity and inclusion.

We’re all hoping we can be together again for in-person celebrations in 2022, with community events throughout Honolulu Pride month in October, and our main event, the Honolulu Pride Parade and Festival on Sat., Oct. 15.

Parade

Joining the Parade is free, and we welcome non-profits, businesses large and small, government agencies, faith organizations, professional associations, community groups, student groups and, well, everyone! Over 60 groups bringing a total of more than 2,000 participants have already signed up. We hope you will join the celebration! The 2022 Honolulu Pride Parade kicks off from Magic Island at 10am on Saturday, October 15. It will follow a route down Ala Moana Blvd. and Kalakaua Avenue to its destination at Kapiolani Park at 12noon.

Festival
15th October @ 11:30am
Held at the Waikīkī Shell and Diamond Head Greens on Saturday, October 15, the 2022 Honolulu Pride Festival begins at 11:30am and continues until 6pm. With two stages of great entertainment, onolicious food, music, community booths, a special ʻOhana Zone, and more, it's a Festival for everyone! Over 8,500 revellers celebrated at the 2019 Festival, and we expect 2022 to be the best ever. We hope you will join us!
