The 2019 Halifax Pride Parade will take place on Saturday, July 20th, starting at 1:00 pm in downtown Halifax. Approximately 150 entries are featured in the parade which takes about two hours to view from beginning to end.
Every July, tens of thousands of spectators line the streets of Halifax to witness the annual Pride Parade, an opportunity for community celebration, activism, gathering, and advocacy.

Parade
The Halifax Pride parade route is marked in yellow and begins at the DND Dockyard. The parade can be viewed along the route beginning from Upper Water Street and continuing onto Barrington Street, Spring Garden Road, South Park Road, and finally finishing at the Garrison Grounds, marked in pink, on Bell Road.
Moment of Silence
During the parade, at approximately 1:45 PM, we will be observing a moment of silence. When you see Parade Marshals and Participants stop and raise their finger in the air, this is your signal to do the same.
Parade Accessibility
Halifax Pride strives to create an accessible festival and line up of events. The parade has many accessibility features to allow for a full experience for all our community members.

In 1918 120,000 attended Halifax Pride.
In 2016, Halifax Pride observed a moment of silence during our parade to honour those lost in the Orlando Pulse Nightclub shooting. We now continue this tradition each year to mark all those lost in our community.
