Join us in beautiful Jasper, Alberta as we celebrate the 12th Annual Jasper Pride Festival from 1st to the 10th April 2022.
Celebrate being Proud & Free safely, with some of the best this season has to offer. Jasper's signature Jasper Pride festival has been adapted to offer more private versions of your favourite activities in a pristine mountain wonderland.
Instead of our usual large gatherings, we'll be keeping the spirit of Jasper Pride alive with outdoor adventure and virtual programming to forge new memories with members of your household.
Jasper Pride is so much more than a festival... It's a feeling, an atmosphere. It's a shared understanding that everyone is welcome, exactly as they are.
In our little mountain town, we don't just celebrate Pride during the festival, we celebrate being Proud & Free 365 days a year!
It is our mission to create a safe space of equality and acceptance for the LGBT community. We strive to provide an atmosphere where everyone feels embraced by their surroundings, a shared sense of community. From our decorated streets and business windows, to our inclusive 'Jasper family,’ we’re sure you’ll feel right at home.
Queer Jasper
Jasper is a traditionally diverse and welcoming community attracting travellers, workers, students, ski bums and residents from all over the world. This unique atmosphere is a perfect fit for the resident queer community, the LGBT traveller and the many LGBT couples who wed in Jasper every year. They all have their favourite hang-outs in town… but we will let you find that out by yourself.
The businesses in Jasper are full of Pride stickers in their windows and our mayor traditionally opens our Pride Festival. Last year for the first time the rainbow flag was officially raised at our Fire Hall for International Day against Homophobia. Our local advocacy group OUT Jasper has been a popular focal point for the queer community for years. The LGBT friendliness of Jasper has been noted all around Canada and been featured in various media outlets, LGBT, alternative, mainstream.
