Calgary Pride recognizes the safety and well-being of all Calgarians as essential, now more than ever. The need for community connection at this time is also essential. And this year's Calgary Pride, our 30th Anniversary, will truly be like no other.

Leading up to and during Calgary Pride week (Aug 28th to Sept 6th, 2020), Calgary Pride will broadcast performances from Canada's best and brightest LGBTQ2S+ artists, diversity workshops, community newscasts, and interviews -- all free to the public. This programming will be streamed simultaneously to YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, and Twitch, and includes integration to the Calgary Pride website.

Viewers will not only be able to watch the programming, but can comment and meet with one another from a safe distance.

Our 30th Anniversary Pride week also includes a brand new Festival Business Initiative, and a Virtual Marketplace that will be live not just for one day, but for the entirety of Calgary Pride week. Connected, safe, and celebratory: This is Calgary Pride.

Calgary Pride is a FREE event, but we welcome donations from those who are able to help support this year's Pride celebrations and our year round programming such as Reading with Royalty, Evolve: Pride Amplified, and the Queerly Festive Dinner and Show.

Calgary Pride acknowledges the traditional territories of the Blackfoot and the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina, and the Stoney Nakoda First Nations, including Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley First Nation. We would also like to note that the Calgary Pride Festival and all the work we do takes place on land adjacent to where the Bow River meets the Elbow River, and that the traditional Blackfoot name of this place is “Mohkinstsis” which we now call the City of Calgary. The City of Calgary is also home to Métis Nation of Alberta, Region III.

We thank these communities for their stewardship of the land we collectively inhabit today.
