A Celebration for Everyone

Planning is now starting for the 8th Norwich Pride which will take place on Saturday, 30th July 2016!

Welcome to Norwich Pride 8 - the celebration from the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans community for everyone. Our central events are all free, inclusive and family friendly and our aim is to turn Norwich into a rainbow. I was chair in our first year and it's remarkable to see how much our fabulous event has grown since then to become a much anticipated date on the city's calendar. As ever Pride for me remains about celebrating how far we have come, remembering those that helped us along this journey, whilst facing together the struggles still faced in this country and across the world for genuine liberation. In particular we remember the work of my predecessor Dean Simmons and Barbara Ross, who were taken from us over the last 12 months. They will not be forgotten.

We are delighted to be joined this year by Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners, featured in the hit film Pride. They will take part in the Pride Question Time event at midday in the Curve and will carry their banner on the parade.
