Basildon Pride Festival takes place on the 3rd September 2022.

Basildon Pride doesn’t just end after the festival’s big finale! We work throughout the year to contribute to our local community through community outreach, charity fundraising, social events and much, much more.
Basildon Pride was founded in 2018 following a significant rise in hate incidents directed towards the LGBT+ Community in our borough. Our response was a march through Basildon Town Centre with the message that “Love Conquers Hate” followed by a celebration at Colours Nightclub.

Following our ‘Mini Pride’ event, Basildon Pride formally constituted and focused on arranging our first ever festival, which took place in Gloucester Park in September 2019. Over 4,500 people attended, and it quickly became clear that Basildon Pride had cemented its place within the Basildon Borough and surrounding areas.

From 11am until 7:30pm
We’ve organised a great mix of national and local entertainment, with everything from fabulous drag queens to amazing tributes.

After party
We’re hosting our OFFICIAL PRIDE after party at The Edge bar in Basildon Town Centre.
We are saddened to say that many venues are closed during the period over Basildon Pride due to refurbishment, and we want to make sure we can create a safe space for all those which are part of the LGBTQ+ community or an ally to continue the party once the festival finishes.
