Info
Luxembourg Pride 2021 takes place between 3rd-11th July 2021.
What started as an information stand on a small square in Luxembourg City has now become a week of continuous events hosting numerous sociocultural activities that attract over 6 000 visitors. The former GayMat, now The Luxembourg Pride, is currently the oldest and biggest Pride event in the Grand Region and the second weekend of July has become a fixed date of joy in the Grand Region’s agenda.
Our objective: fight against LGBTIQ discrimination and the one of other minorities through meetings, film projections, expositions and a street festival. The Luxembourg Pride is an invitation for young and old to celebrate living together in our colourful and diverse society and showing it in a peaceful and festive way.

Commemoration ceremony
Monday, 05 July 2021
National Museum of the Resistance, Place de la Résistance, L-4041 Esch-sur-Alzette
LGBTIQ+ people have been marginalised for centuries and are still far too often victims of social hatred and crime. On this day, we want to take a moment to honour those who have not been as fortunate as us and pay our respects for the path they have paved for us.
This year, for the 6th year in a row, this ceremony will be organised at the National Resistance Memorial in Esch-sur-Alzette.
Queer Movie Night
Tuesday, 06 July 2020
Kulturfabrik, 116 rue de Luxembourg, L-4221 Esch-sur-Alzette
Festival
Saturday, 10 July 2021 and Sunday, 11 July 2021
Town Square, Esch-sur-Alzette
After a week with different events such as our commemorative ceremony for victims of homophobia and transphobia, the Queer film nights, a political speech and the exposition in the Theatre of Esch, the second weekend (Saturday & Sunday) in July traditionally marks the Street Fest, the highlight and also the final of the Luxembourg Pride Week.
The celebration will start at noon on the Town Hall Square in Esch, with music, entertainment, political contributions and various artistic activities. At 2 pm on Saturday, starting from the ‘Place de la Résistance’ (Place du Brill), our Parade will weave through the rue de l’Alzette to the Place de l’Hôtel de Ville, where all the participants and the public will be greeted by the guests of honour on the stage.
