Sofia Pride takes place on Saturday the 17th June 2023.

Bulgaria remains one of the six countries in the European Union that have not provided any legal regulation for same-sex families. As well as putting many barriers in the way of the LGBTI community, it has led to several cases pending before the European Court of Human Rights and the Court of Justice of the European Union.

Sofia Pride has been held every year since 2008, and its support is constantly growing.

Sofia Pride will once again pass through the streets of Sofia - the traditional march in support of the LGBTQ + community (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex and queer people). After gathering more than 10,000 people last year, this year the organizing committee invites everyone who values ​​freedom to take part in the 16th consecutive Pride.

As in previous years, online broadcasting will enable people who are worried about physical gatherings or cannot travel to Sofia to join the event.

Parade
Pride marches remain one of the most important tools for the LGBTI community to make itself more visible and to put on the agenda the problems it faces. The motto of the 15th edition of Sofia Pride will be "To be proud".

Festival
This year the Pride will be accompanied by a number of online and present cultural and sports events within the Sofia Pride Arts, Sofia Pride Film Fest and Sofia Pride Sports.
