InfoBristol Pride 2016 will take place across Bristol from the 1 – 10 July. Expect the return of our award winning film festival, Pride Comedy Night and Theatre along with lots of new works for 2016.
The Pride Day Festival will take place on Saturday 9 July – Pride Night will see Bristol come alive and carry on the Bristol Pride celebrations in Old Market and Frogmore Street. The official afterparty at the Bristol O2 Academy is a special fundraising night to help keep the day free.
Castle Park, Departs 11am
This year we gather in Castle Park and below is our planned route which may be subject to minor last minute changes due to the Metro Bus Works in the city. Which may also mean there are roadworks in place.
The route is 2 miles long and will take about 1 hour to complete. We have tried to reduce the amount of hills we take (not easy in Bristol) but those with restricted mobility or wheelchair users may struggle with the first loop around Cabot Circus but can join us as we pass Castle Park
We bring you three rooms of music and performance featuring top international and local DJs, live acts, performance and dancers. This unique event brings together Bristol clubnights for one night only along with specially curated performance and some of the biggest names on the club scene for an eye opening experience.
BRIGHT LIGHT BRIGHT LIGHT [Live Performance]
The boy Robyn in everything but name (NME), Sir Elton John loved his work so much, calling him the hottest new thing in music, they dueted together and he signed him up for his 2015 world tour plus he’s opened for Ellie Goulding, Erasure and Scissor Sisters.
New album ‘Choreography’ is released the week after this performance and name checks include Sir Elton John, Alan Cumming, all Scissor Sisters members and even The Wiz Live star Mykal Kilgore. He’s promised something very special for Pride Night following a performance on the main stage at BST festival. You lucky devils.
