Taspride takes place in Tasmania between the 31st January to 28th February 2025.

On 1 May 1997, Tasmania became the final Australian jurisdiction to repeal its anti-homosexuality laws. If it were not for the brave people within our GLBTQI community of the time, the unjust discrimination deployed by our State Government may have existed for many more years. The Parade is the signature event of the TasPride Festival and is the time for the LGBTIQ+ community to be visible and to celebrate our pride. Gather your friends, family, colleagues, or teammates; pop your pets on a lead; don your pride colours, costumes, and appropriately themed face masks; prepare your banners; and get ready to party.

Parade
12:00 1pm - Pride Parade commences and makes it’s way through the city to Franklin Square. (free event, register if marching). Edge Radio broadcasting the soundtrack to the Parade on 99.3FM, tune in during the parade.

16:00 – late Pride Party. at In the Hanging Garden, ($15 at door or book via tier website)

Sunday 2nd Feb
11:00-16:00 Come & Try Tennis Day + Pride Cup Mini Tournament. Domain Tennis Centre (free event / $10 Pride Cup entry)
13:30 – 15:00 Hobart Queer History Walk [SOLD OUT]. Meet at Parliament Garden (free event, ticket via their website)
