Leipzig Bears are a group of gay men from Leipzig and the surrounding area. A beard, body hair and a stocky figure can be external characteristics of a bear. But that's not all, and not all Leipzig Bears look 'beary'. But what all those who come to our meetings have in common is the preference for bearded, hairy men and the desire to be in the company of men who have retained their naturalness.

It all started with a first hike in autumn 2016. A group of 20 bears set out to explore the town of Grimma and the hiking trail along the Mulde. As the response to our joint activities grew, we decided to expand the circle of people interested in bears. We set up a WhatsApp and a Facebook group and brought other interested bears on board. The groups provide information about the planned activities and leave a short report on the activities afterwards as a souvenir. There are now over 140 members, who come not only from Leipzig, but also from the surrounding areas. The website www.leipzig-baeren.de is also intended to reach those who are not registered on Facebook. Everyone is welcome to take part in joint activities.
