I have been using this sauna for over 12 years, even before it was run by the present management but after today's experience I will unfortunately not go back. Over recent months all the regular staff, who knew your name, welcomed you with a smile and and ran the place in a clean and efficient manner,w cooking you a decent meal have now left. The experience now is to be treated by staff who look downright bewildered, who greet you with a scowl or grimace rather than a friendly welcome and smile.
This establishment used to pride itself on the highest levels of hygiene and was always fresh and clean and you would observe staff cleaning throughout the day. Now I would never eat anything at this establishment as I have no confidence in any form of food hygiene understanding or competency amongst the staff.
This sauna was often unpredictable, sometimes it would be completely dead when you least expected it and at other times it would be the opposite case. Now it just feels desperate.
What is perhaps the saddest thing is that as much as people used to use the sauna as a place to have 'fun', it felt like a little community, where people, many older, would socialise. That is rapidly being lost as loyal customers no longer feel welcome.
Upstairs is a cinema room that now, inexplicably has three TV screens, one of which now has almost permanently displayed on it 'File not recognised' ( That is not very horny)
Finally, and most upsetting, was the response from the management today. I tried to callmly explain, these concerns, but was told by the owner Adam Bailey not to return.
