Drag show Lellebel in Utrechtsestraat is 20 years old in November. To mark the anniversary, a musical is being played in the Polanentheater in October. In the Lellebel play, themes such as discrimination, violence, love and identity are discussed.
The musical is about Gerrit, a boy who recently came to live in the city and meets all kinds of characters, such as Rodolfo the hippie, Peter the masseur, Ko the leather bear and a transsexual ex-dancer Nelly. Hans Wijtenburg, or Aunt Dees, wrote the musical himself. On 13 and 14 January 2018, the musical will again be performed in the Polanentheater. A Saturday evening, Sunday afternoon and Sunday evening show
