Calling creative volunteers with a passion to make PinkUk even more fun and, yes, even Pinker...

Interested in learning more and offering/gaining experience in listings online publishing such as writing, photography, video, design?

Here at PinkUk Towers we have a small number of volunteer openings for people who would like to gain more experience or offer their experience in online content support for our listings site which serves the LGBTQ+ communities in the UK around the world.

This would suit people aspiring to progress in or enter into various media and online publishing industries - or people who would like to offer an existing skill set.

We list major LGBTQ+ events such as pride festivals in the UK and internationally, along with what we believe is the most comprehensive listing of worldwide LGBTQ+ pride/festival events that can be found online.

Our listings can be accessed for free wherever you are in the world where there is an open internet.

What are we are looking for

• Keep our site content including venue and event listings up-to-date with forward planning research
• Promote our social media channels and assets
• Draft and proof read articles and news for our features pages and newsletters
• Advise on user experience on the site and our social channels
• Offer other creative or publishing skills you may think relevant to our operation such as specialist interest in aspects of the LGBTQ+ communities or tech skills such as graphic design or video production

We would love to have volunteers from a wide cross-section of the LGBTQ+ communities, especially, but not only, from those from communities who are under-represented or are less visible. Also, we would value any offers of help volunteers from people outside the UK.

What it would involve

• Contact Please get in contact if you would like to join the PinkUK team, and we can take it from there
• We would usually expect a minimum commitment from four hours a month or more depending on what you can offer
• You can choose your own hours and would be remote-working. In return we will act as a referee of your experience and, depending on the role, offer on the job coaching and direction to add to your CV/resumé
