Two years of banging out pride news - thank you for your supportWe’ve been beating the drum for the LGBTQ+ communities, prides and venues around the world in one of the most difficult times ever for LGBTQ+ scenes. While PinkUk has been around a long time (we founded the site in 1999) we are delighted that this is the 24th edition of our monthly newsletter, so welcome to our second year birthday! Big hugs. |
We hope you’ve enjoyed our news and info over the last two years and have found this newsletter covering Pride festivals (now at more than 500 events), listings, accommodation and other community advice of assistance over what has been a challenging time for all in the LGBTQ+ communities with the pandemic, lockdowns and worldwide economic uncertainty. We started this newsletter in May 2020 to help keep the scene and businesses connected with the communities they serve. All our newsletters are archived. This month we preview what’s happening over the Easter holiday weekend for the LGBTQ+ scene (15-18 April) and easy ways to stay in touch and get info in what we hope will be a return to some normality after two crazy years. Some big UK Prides that didn’t happen in the usual way for two years, such as Brighton & Hove Pride, have announced their line up. Let 2022 be the safe return of Prides. With the crisis in Ukraine, we send our solidarity to our Ukrainian LGBTQ+ friends, who must cope both with homophobia as well as the crisis affecting all Ukrainians. Read my new blog where I share my thoughts as ex forces. We’ve suspended listing venues from Ukraine to protect LGBTQ+ people. Thank you to our advertisers who have made this news possible. Hope you all have a great Easter. Love & Pink Respect from Dave & the team,
