Welcome to the Northern Hemisphere (Pink) summer, wherever you are.
In the US, the month of June crowns the year for Pride festivals, while in the UK the summer pride season is spread across the whole summer and into September to capture the best weather. See our future festival listings for what’s happening
We hope that wherever you are, you’re enjoying the summer and having fun at festivals, parades, demos, clubs and cultural and sporting events, travelling to new fun places, or just chilling, or whatever else you enjoy, especially if it’s pink!
There are also some serious things happening this summer.
In the UK, just as in many countries this year, we’ve just had a snap general election called where every LGBTQ+ identifying person has an opportunity to influence the future of the country for themselves and society simply by voting, quite a quick and easy task. Remember to take an official photo ID if you’re voting in-person on Thursday 4 July.
Before you vote, you might want to read about what’s happened in UK LGBTQ+ equality over the last ten years. Finally, we are overjoyed to share the celebrations with Thailand, the first country in Southeast Asia to legalise same-sex marriage.

Featured pride: West Lothian Pride, Livingston, Scotland
West Lothian Pride takes place on Saturday, the 27 July 2024. The festival opens from 10:30 until 15:30 in the main square Livingston. Come along and get your sparkles and your rainbows on before the parade through Livingston town centre which starts at 12:30, and bring your whistles and flags so that you can be seen and
heard. They will also have a variety of information stalls run by LGBTQI+ people and our allies.

Villa Ragazzi guest house is exclusively gay, a real bubble of relaxation between Nîmes and Montpellier in the south of France. Naturism is permitted throughout the villa. Prides/LGBTQ+ events
We have broken our record for the number of global prides this year. Last year we had 1,093. In 2024, we have 279 prides/LGBTQ+ events in the UK, and 1,167 globally in 58 countries. In 2025, we have 8 in the UK, and 53 globally in 17 countries.
