The UK charity Stonewall has found itself in serious financial trouble, with the LGBT charity losing millions from public funding while donations continue to fall. They are in crisis after recording a huge deficit of just under £1M in the year ending March 2025.
Due to the UK's Online Safety Act, the website Pornhub has announced it will restrict access to its website in the UK from next week, blaming the tougher age checks which have been introduced for explicit sites. Only people who have made an existing Pornhub account will be able to access their content. This will probably result in the increase in use of VPNs.
Russia further targets LGBTI activists, designates ILGA World (International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association) as “undesirable” organisation, and criminalises support for the LGBTQ+ human rights group.
