26th Toulouse Pride March:
With its 30,000 people in the streets of the pink city, this Toulouse Pride March has become in a few years one of the most important LGBTQI + events in the region. A protest and festive march, it allows us to recall the battles that remain to be fought while remembering those who fought for the rights and freedoms obtained.
"Freedom of identity, freedom to love" is the slogan chosen by the collective for the 26th Pride March 2020. Because of its importance, we decided to postpone it too.
This 26th March will therefore take place on Saturday September 5, 2020. The Pride Village with its 50 associations will be installed exceptionally on the Allées Jules Guesde, from 10am, with a start of the walk in the afternoon from this place. The route of the walk will be slightly modified but will remain in the heart of the city and will take the main arteries and boulevards including rue Alsace-Lorraine (behind the Capitole). This 26th Pride March must take place and it will take place in Toulouse. You can count on our mobilization and our total determination.
Faced with this unprecedented situation, PRIDE Toulouse wishes to extend its full support to all those affected by this pandemic and to their families, regardless of their country. We would like to thank for their work, their dedication and their commitment to the health, cleaning and security teams, associations, institutions and their staff.
Toulouse Pride also wish to salute all the work carried out at the moment by LGBTQI + * associations which are trying to maintain, with their means, a link with members of our community (hotlines, presence on social networks, by offering reduction material risk…).
Pride Toulouse wish to thank all of these volunteers who mobilize in these difficult times to help those, our sisters and brothers, in difficulty, vulnerable, suffering. Toulouse Pride are thinking of the elderly, adolescents in homophobic or transphobic families, sex workers, sick people, migrants in an irregular situation or homeless. Toulouse Pride must not forget them and the State must not forget them!
