Winter PrideFest takes place from 7th to 10th March 2024.
Since 2018, Central Oregon has hosted Winter PrideFest to celebrate Pride, Inclusivity, and our combined love of the outdoors. Growing from 150 participants in 2018 to over 1,400 participants in 2023, Winter PrideFest offers a full weekend of fun and inspiring Winter events. For 2024, staple events like Ski OUT on the Mountain, Wigs! An Icebreaker and our Winter PrideFest™️ Dance Party will continue. Starting off the weekend, our welcoming "Snocial" will now be hosted in one location, right in the heart of the beautiful Old Mill District! Plus, we've added more, including a Queer Comedy Night featuring nationally renowned comedian, Dana Goldberg!
Thursday, March 7
Welcoming 'Snocial' 5pm to 10pm. Old Mill District, Bend. Mix and mingle with other queer folx and allies over food and drinks. This year’s Welcoming Snocial will overlook the Deschutes River, right in the heart of the Old Mill District. Featuring drag performances by Willam and more! Join us for Winter PrideFest 2024's opening night, and your weekend started off right!
Friday, March 8
Ski OUT on the Mountain. 9am to 4pm. Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort | All-Ages. There are no Winter PrideFest specific activities on the mountain on Friday, but see above for information on lift tickets, equipment rentals, lesson, and more through Mt. Bachelor.
Wigs! An Icebreaker. 6pm to 10pm. Seventh Mountain Resort | All-Ages. FREE Admission. Ice skating with wigs! A fun way for participants to connect. This event is open to all ages – so bring your kiddos! $10 to skate (we recommend reserving HERE or purchase at the venue day of with available stock).
Queer Comedy Night featuring Dana Goldberg. 9pm - Midnight. Midtown Ballroom | 21+. If Dana Goldberg’s comedy routine were a book, it would be banned in Florida! Join us for a night of side-splitting, no-apologies comedy from one of the top LGBTQ comedians in the country.
Oregon's Sarah Levy and Logan Escobar will open this amazing night. 7pm to 11pm. With Wanderlust Tours. Deep snow awaits our exploration on snowshoes under the starry skies! Strap on the snowshoes to a spectacular, hand-carved amphitheater in the snow. Snow chairs will have been hand-carved into the snow and a bonfire will be glowing. Dessert and hot cocoa with a splash of Hazelnut Espresso Vodka will be served before heading back to civilization.
Saturday, March 9
West Village Lodge Party, 9am to 4pm. Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort | All-Ages. Get some early runs in and then join the party in the West Village Lodge from 11-1pm with our special guest WILLAM! Don’t miss the group Rainbow Run down the mountain following just after to show off your PRIDE!
Guided Snowshoe to Todd Lake. 9:30am. Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort | 18+. A guided snowshoe tour beginning at the Mt. Bachelor Nordic Center and heading out to Todd Lake! Reservation will be required (link to come). Snowshoes will be provided, or you can waive them if you'd like to bring your own.
Guided Ski Tours with Operation Alpine. 9:30am. Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort | Age 14+. Operation Alpine will host organized group rides starting out from the West Village Lodge area. This is a fun way to ski with friends and meet new people in your ability group. These group rides are geared towards intermediate-skilled riders and up. RSVP will be required and made available soon!
Winter Pridefest™️ Dance Party. 8pm - Midnight. Midtown Ballroom | 21+. The fun of Winter PrideFest continues at our queer dance party, hosted by a very special Emcee and featuring several drag performances. Enjoy a space for all queer people and allies to come together and dance the night away! Indoor venue (TBA). No re-entry allowed.
Sunday, March 10
Drag Brunch. 11am to 2pm. Volcanic Theater Pub | 21+. Winter PrideFest™ festivities continue with this one of a kind Drag soiree! Come for one final hurrah as we close out the festival with the biggest drag show in Central Oregon! Featuring the biggest names in drag/burlesque performance from Bend and Portland! Share in the spirit of unity, community and laughter with some of your favourite queens and kings that are sure to leave you wanting more!
