Trans Resistance takes place on Saturday 15th June 2024.

Trans Resistance MA, we want to be a catalyst for positive change and are driven by the ideas we founded Trans Resistance MA upon: support, empowerment, and progress. Learn more about our mission, our vision, and how we go about making the changes we want to see.

Trans Resistance was formed in June 2020 by a collective of trans and queer activists in the Boston area who built upon years of contention with the Boston Pride board for being trans-exclusionary in their process, vision, and work and failing to equitably represent the magical TQBIPOC community in Boston. Since then, Trans Resistance has expanded its work, partnering with numerous community organisations to support Trans, Queer, Black, Indigenous People of Colour in Boston and beyond. We show up wherever support and advocacy are needed, and commit to providing programming by and for TQBIPOC in our community. In addition to hosting an annual March and Festival annually in June, we sponsor a vigil in November in acknowledgement of Transgender Day of Remembrance, and partner with other organisations to acknowledge Transgender Day of Visibility in late March.
