Northern Pride takes place over the weekend 20/21st July 2024.

Northern Pride was formed in August 2007 after a brief gap in Pride activities following the closure of Pride on the Tyne. A research project was commissioned and carried out by MET Ltd to establish what the North East LGBTQ+ community would like from a Pride event. These results were fed back to the community in May 2007 and from this feedback, a group of volunteers came forward and formed the first Northern Pride Committee.

Parade
Featuring a spectacular march through the centre of Newcastle, and you’re invited to take part. The March will start at 12 noon. Saturday, from Newcastle Civic Centre. But arrive early, so we don’t leave without you.

Festival
In addition to the Main Stage - where the yet-to-be-revealed big name acts will perform -The Festival Arena will also have some new and exciting features for 2024 - so watch this space. Tickets start from £6 for each day or £10 for a weekend pass.

We have ensured that there are still free aspects to the event, which includes the return of the Community Village with all the regular community zones and market stalls.
