‘But I’m a Cheerleader’ Screening with KLC
KLCCC are once again working in partnership with the King’s Lynn and District Trades Union Council, this time to support Pride in West Norfolk. The two organisations will be jointly hosting a film screening of 'But I’m a Cheerleader', a 1999 American satirical romantic teen comedy film directed by Jamie Babbit. Natasha Lyonne stars as Megan Bloomfield, a high school cheerleader whose parents send her to a residential in-patient conversion therapy camp to cure her lesbianism. The film has gained a cult following among LGBT communities.
It will be shown at Marriott's Warehouse on Friday, 19th August, the day before King’s Lynn’s own Pride parade takes place. Starting at 7pm there will be cocktails available to purchase to enjoy with the film, which will screen at 7.30pm.
Entry to the event is free and all are welcome, but donations of £3 each are invited, which will go towards funding Pride and the associated work they support for the Norfolk LGBT+ project. So come along for what promises to be a fun night and support this great event.
