N-trance’s Kelly LLorenna – Performing at Pride South Lanarkshire
On day two, this important free to attend event will fill the streets of Hamilton’s town centre with colour and life alongside words of inspiration from guest speakers and entertainment from a superb range of acts, from local people to internationally recognised performers. The event will be opened by both South and North Lanarkshire’s provosts. ‘You won’t miss us as we take over Quarry Street’s pedestrianised area and the town square, providing huge visibility and a superb space for this free to attend community Pride event. We’ve Glasgow’s Reba Martel, Britain’s Got Talent’s, Edward Reid, the superb Spice World, N-trance’ Kelly LLorenna and much more kicking off with our market from 10am and entertainment from 11:30. Alongside the entertainment we’ve lined up a range of guest speakers across the day, a funfair, outdoor Pride bar, Drag bandstand, kids zone, market on Quarry Street and much more’.
We need your help to fill the streets of Hamilton…
‘Pride is a celebration but also an important movement. Visibility, voice and a platform for our community are key goals of this first Pride in the region. A march isn’t part of this 1st year’s plans, instead we’ve designed the event to include a large area to fill in the centre of Hamilton. Because we have this space, we’re going to need everyone’s support by coming along and helping us fill the streets with love, joy and Pride on 29th July. Bring your pride flags and banners and get set for a great day in support of Pride.
We would like to thank EventScotland and The National Lottery community fund for their support.’ Malcolm Thomas-Harley.
