I am very please to say that the paperwork for are event has today been send to the council, with a view to holding the first EVER LGBT PRIDE IN GOSPORT

We would like the wider community, to be represent and be a part of this very special day in support of equality and diversity We would therefore like to ask if their are any community groups who would like to help/ support or come on are march which is planed to take place in August this event is open to all those that support the aims of equality and diversity.
we are relies solely on sponsorship, donations and fund raising events to pay to organise a day where people are free to express themselves without prejudice in a safe and secure environment.

With your support in whatever support you could offer we will be able provide a fun- filled family event, open to all regardless of gender, sexual orientation, or race; and provide an area offering support and advice to those who seek it.
Gospride theme is 'reach out and join hands' we aim to have a pride parade right from the high street in Gosport up to the main park (walpole Park) we feel that this event will attract attention from the local surrounded area and bring people in to Gosport which will help the local shops and business community, are vision is to build on the first pride with a view to holding one each year The pride will promote equality, as well as celebrate diversity within Gosport it will help to build confidence and help develop a community awareness and raises awareness of LGBT issues.

The Event aims are to overcome intolerance and prejudice of any kind and to help change negative attitudes.
