Karl and David have been together for 35 years, and Karl was the Island's first Gay and Bisexual Men's Outreach worker in the 1990s for the Island. Today, Karl is currently the Deputy Mayor for East Cowes and the first openly elected Gay Man to Island of Wight County Council. The Island has a lot to offer LGBT+ visitors.
