Exeter Pride takes p[lace on Saturday the 13th May 2023.
Unfortunately, this event has been cancelled. We regret to announce that we have had to make the tough decision to cancel Exeter Pride 2023, scheduled for Saturday 13th May 2023. Unfortunately, this year despite repeat advertising we haven’t been able to fill the vital co-ordinator roles necessary to organise an event of this size and scope. We also do not have enough stewards signed up to help with the march and festival on the day.
Exeter Pride is one of the South West's biggest celebrations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and questioning plus (LGBTQ+) communities, and one of the biggest free Pride events in the country.
It is a key annual event in Exeter's calendar and exciting plans are being made for the 2022 event - the first held in Northernhay Gardens since 2019, after the pandemic saw the 2020 event cancelled at short notice and moved online.
The day will feature a colourful rainbow flag march through Exeter, including a fire engine, an ambulance, dancers, music and much more.
Representatives from community groups and organisations as well as individuals will also be taking part to show their support. There will be information and advice from local, national and international organisations, as well as demonstrations and fun activities.
Parade
Exeter Pride March start in Sidwell Street at 11am.
Exeter Pride makes the way along Sidwell Street, High Street and Queen Street and finishing at Northernhay Gardens where there will be live entertainments, stall and activities.
Festival
Exeter Pride will take place at Northernhay Gardens.
Entertainment will include live bands and cabaret acts on two stages, and there will be a marketplace with more than 80 stalls. There will also be a health zone, family zone, workshops, film shows, panel debates, trans workshop, ceilidh and much more. Along with information and advice from local, national and international organisations, as well as demonstrations and fun activities.
