Pride At The Priory, takes place over the weekend, 8/9th July 2023.

Pride In Halton presents Pride At The Priory, this is a 2-day event at Norton Priory on the 8th and 9th of July 2023 and is organised and run by Northwest HIV Support CIC.

Saturday 8th July: the main Pride event
A range of performers will be taking to the main stage as Pride in Halton CIC takes over Norton Priory for an incredible day of celebration. This promises to be a Pride event like no other, and will include drag queen Sandi Ego as the compare, a performance by Sheela Vim, a festival performance from the young talent of A Place for Us Performing Arts Academy and much more besides. Jonathan Blake will be joining on the day as a Special Guest. Jonathan is a commentator on current LGBTQ+ rights issues, and he joined Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners (LGSM).
A variety of stalls will be available throughout the event and ticket holders will be able to enjoy the museum grounds. The day will close with a candlelit vigil on the medieval ruins. Tickets are priced at £3 per person for the Saturday event, which is supported by funding from National Lottery Awards for All.

Sunday 9th July: Norton Priory's Pride celebrations
Performers on the main stage will include Nicola Mills, who will be singing songs from 'A Sound of Music' and 'Mary Poppins', alongside other singers and some of the stars from 'Electric Dreams'. A Drag Queen storyteller will be sharing stories with our younger visitors throughout the day, and there will be trails for children to follow. A variety of stalls will be available throughout the event and ticket holders will be able to enjoy the museum and the grounds as part of their ticket.
The day will close at 5:00pm, before the box office reopens at 5:30pm in preparation for the opening night of 'Electric Dreams', our outdoor summer theatre spectacular, produced by Norton Priory's artistic directors, A Place for Us CIC.
Usual entry prices for the Sunday apply, with free entry for members of Norton Priory Museum and Gardens. A special discounted rate applies for people booking tickets for both the Saturday and the Sunday.
